Friend

Same element, same polarity as the Day Master: the Friend — literally "shoulder beside shoulder," the one standing next to you. It is another you: same nature, same stance, wanting exactly what you want.

Hence its two faces. When the self is weak, the Friend is the brother in the snowstorm — reinforcing you, sharing the wealth-burden, standing between you and Sha. When the self is strong, the Friend is the rival at the same cake — contesting money, position, resources. One star, opposite roles, decided entirely by circumstance.

Strong Friend natives are proud, independent and iron-willed: everything by their own hands, no favors owed; loyal to friends, superb among peers. Domination repels them from birth — persuade me, never command me.

In excess this hardens into obstinacy: deaf to counsel, difficult in collaboration, "I'll do it myself" decaying into fighting alone; the tendency to hemorrhage money follows close behind — peers robbing Wealth. The weak-Friend native runs low on backbone: soft-eared, easily swayed, recharging on teammates' certainty.

The Friend rules ventures made among equals: co-founding, team play, trade communities, freelancer alliances. Where it serves the chart well, the federal model fits best — each sovereign, all supporting — rather than strict hierarchy.

For the weak self under heavy Wealth, the Friend is the first blessing: a platter too heavy for one is carried by brothers together. For the strong self already crowded with peers, avoid profit-sharing structures at all cost — equity explicit, books open, contracts before courtesies. The highest use of the Friend: turning rivals into allies.

The Friend maps to siblings and same-sex confidants — where it stands strong, life always yields a few die-together friendships. In the marriage palace, though, heavy peer stars classically signal romantic competition: the rival courting your beloved tends to come from your own circle.

As a partner, the Friend type wants alongside, not attached: equality, independence, careers of their own — nothing repels them like control and clinging. The way to hold them is comradeship: a shared objective binds a Friend's heart faster than any sweet word.

The Friend's verdict hangs on one question: does the Day Master need reinforcements? Weak self: the Friend shoulders Sha, splits the wealth-burden — a benefactor star. Strong self: it robs Wealth, contests the spouse and the Officer — a star of depletion.
